summer learning journey first post
According to Māori mythology, much of Aotearoa New Zealand was formed when Māui, a powerful demigod, fished it out of the sea. Legend has it that Māui created a magical fish hook from the jawbone of his grandmother and that one day he took his hook, boarded a boat, and rode out into the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Once at sea, he threw his magical hook into the water and caught a fish. This ‘fish’ was actually the North Island of New Zealand!

Once there were 300, 000 tabby cats living in their homes.
Their 20 million mile village was once attacked by 200,000,000,000,000,000 dogs. The cats retreated back to the biggest and most powerful city which is 9,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. miles long. They came running into the king cat Trouble’s fortress and told him what had happened.
Trouble was outraged because the cats had a truce with the dogs so he prepared his warriors for war. Then he contacted the onions and mice and told them what had happened. The onions and mice came and said,
“We shall fight with you, once we take the dog’s planet we shall split it between all three of us.”
The battle went on for trillions of years until they defeated the dogs and they split the dogs planet between all three of them. That’s why cats and dogs are enemies.

Dogs at the Beach
We are learning to write to describe a moment in time.
Once there was to dog’s at a private beach
as they bounced around in the water they found something hard
so they started digging because they thought it was a bone.
But it was just a stick so they just started jumping around again.
Then there owners called them so they came and their owners gave
them a giant bone each.
They finished their bones and started bouncing around in the water aegean.
finally they pulled it out.
was a ginormous safe made of stainless steel and the key was
in a waterproof bag. Their owners rushed over and opened it.
gave them a lifetime supply of bones and treats.

Kim's cat
Kim the teacher aide’s cat R2 is collecting rubbish at paparoa range school.
He collects the most rubbish on fridays and even more on rainy days.
He collects lots of plastic and popsicle sticks. He also finds lots of old glad wrap.
Then he brings it home and puts it in front of the door and makes an awful noise.
Kim does not appreciate the rubbish and the awful noise.
